This survey is intended for property owners who seriously considered developing an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) in the City of Sacramento but did not complete construction, or who are currently in the process of constructing their ADU. The purpose of this survey is to identify barriers faced by property owners during the ADU decision-making process.
To ensure that responses reflect actual development constraints, participation is limited to individuals who had decision-making authority regarding whether to proceed with an ADU. Contractors, designers, or consultants should only complete this survey if they are responding on behalf of a specific property owner and were directly involved in the decision not to move forward.
